Bablu Ranjan Biswas, Kushtia :: Illegal nets and narcotics were recovered in separate operations by BGB in Kushtia. On Sunday morning, 47 BGB Assistant Director Zakirul Islam led a drive in Katlamari area of Mirpur upazila of the district and recovered 4,000 kg of illegal China Duari. On the other hand, late on Saturday night, an anti-narcotics and smuggling drive led by Havildar Farhad Hossain in Jamalpur field of Daulatpur upazila recovered 100 grams of heroin and 300 pieces of sildenafil tablets.
47 BGB commander Lt. Col. Mahbub Murshed Rahman confirmed the incident and said the estimated value of the recovered nets and narcotics is Tk 14 lakh 90 thousand. He further said that the seized illegal China Duari nets and narcotics have been deposited in the battalion drug store for destruction as per the rules
