PEOPLE – Katy Perry is getting candid about what she does — and doesn’t — look for in a partner.
The singer, 39, who is currently engaged to Orlando Bloom, discussed various aspects of her love life in a preview for her appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, set to be released on Wednesday, Sept. 4.
When host Alex Cooper asked Perry whether she has “a type,” she smiled and responded, “I’m no longer attracted to narcissists.”
Cooper, 30, then asked the pop star, “What are some red flags that you now know ‘I would never put up with that now?’ “
“Anyone that is constantly changing the goalpost or pulling the rug out from you emotionally, not it,” said Perry. “Anyone that says that they know you better than you know yourself. Someone that just won’t help.”
“It’s like if I come downstairs and the kitchen is clean, and you’ve done it all, and you’ve done all the dishes, and you’ve closed all the pantry doors, you better be ready to get your d— sucked,” she said.
After Cooper burst out laughing, Perry added, “I mean, like literally. That is my love language. I don’t need a red Ferrari. I can buy a red Ferrari. Just do the f—— dishes.”
While the former American Idol judge didn’t name any names in the preview clip, she previously dated John Mayer and married Russell Brand in 2010 before the comedian, 49, filed for divorce in late 2011.
She and Bloom, 47, made their relationship Instagram official in May 2016 before calling it quits less than a year later in February 2017.
While they remained friends following the split, they rekindled their romance and made their red-carpet debut at the September 2018 Gala for the Global Ocean at the Opera of Monte-Carlo in Monaco.
The couple got engaged in February 2019 and welcomed their first daughter together, Daisy Dove Bloom, in August 2020.
Bloom discussed how they balance their relationship with their busy schedules during an appearance on the What Now? with Trevor Noah podcast in April.
“I wouldn’t change it for anything, even when sometimes it feels like, ‘how do we do this?’ Because we’ve got these two giant careers and lives, and hers is even, you know… it’s like a universe sometimes,” he said.
“But I think I just keep coming back to her and trying to hold her hand and walk her back to the sand pit and be like… we’re just gonna build a sandcastle,” said Bloom.
