Md. Sanaullah Riyad, Barguna:: “Training is needed to become skilled. And this training must definitely be put to use. If at least ten crore young people in Bangladesh can be made entrepreneurs with the right skills, then only then will it be possible to develop this country economically and socially.
Md. Ahsan Kabir, Additional Secretary of the Planning Division of the Ministry of Finance, said these things in his speech as the chief guest of the event to the youth attending the community outreach meeting of the Recovery and Advancement of Informal Sector Employment (RAISE) project implemented and organized by Sangram with the technical and financial support of Palli Karma Sahayak Foundation (PKSF).
He also said- “Skills cannot be acquired by force. For this, one’s own interest and utmost effort are required. Only then will we be able to establish you. The skills you acquire by training with attention for at least one or two years will definitely be useful in your later life. Therefore, he also called on all young men and women to join this project to develop themselves.”
On Tuesday (November 11), at the RAISE project community outreach meeting organized by Sangram at the municipality ground of Amtoli Upazila, Barguna, Chaudhuri Mohammad Masum, founder of Sangram (Organized Rural Development Program), one of the NGOs of Barishal Division, chaired the meeting and Pratibha Bikash Sarkar, coordinator of the project, moderated the program. Sangram Executive Director Chaudhuri Munir Hossain delivered the welcome speech at the beginning of the program.
Special guests delivered speeches at the time – Muhammad Amin Sharif, Deputy Secretary, Planning Division, Ministry of Finance, Dilip Kumar Chakraborty, General Manager of PKSF and RAISE Project Coordinator, Amtoli Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Md. Roknuzzaman Khan, PKSF Manager Golam Jilani, and NSS Executive Director Shahabuddin Panna.
About three hundred unemployed youth, parents, and young small entrepreneurs were present at the program.
