A human chain was held to protest the terrorist attack on Hasibur Rahman Riju (46), a staff reporter of Kushtia, private television Asian TV.
The human chain was organized by the Mirpur Press Club on Tuesday around 11 am.
President of Press Club Bablu Ranjan Biswas presided over and general secretary Rasheduzzaman Rimon conducted the human chain program, former president of Mirpur Press Club Mohammad Ali Zoardar, vice president Zamir Uddin, press club organizing secretary Alamgir Hossain Mondal spoke. Journalist Rasheduzzaman Rashed also spoke.
Vice President of Mirpur Press Club Professor Abdus Salam, former President Ashadur Rahman Babu, former Convener Humayun Kabir Himu, former General Secretary Marfat Afridi, Press Club Publicity and Office Secretary Kudrate Khoda Sabuj, Treasurer Hafizur Rahman, Member Ashraful Alam Hira were present in the human chain.
Incidentally, on the afternoon of June 19, a terrorist attack was carried out on Hasibur Rahman Riju, the staff reporter of Kushtia, private television Asian TV. The attack took place in Hatsh Haripur Bazar of Hatsh Haripur Union near Kushtia city. Riju is the son of Amjad Malitha of Hatsh Haripur village. He is the general secretary of Kushtia Television Journalists Association and editor of local daily Satya Khabar. Riju’s two hands, two legs and head were seriously injured in the attack
