Syed Mohammad Kamrul Islam,Chittagong :: Satkania Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Zahedul Islam has been honored as the best OC in Chattogram district for his outstanding contribution to crime control and drug recovery.
The recognition came at the monthly welfare meeting held on Thursday at the Chattogram District Police Lines, where Superintendent of Police Mohammad Saiful Islam Santu presented him with the award. At the same event, Satkania Police Station was also recognized as the best station in drug recovery.
According to police, Satkania Upazila comprises 17 unions and one municipality. Since assuming charge, OC Zahedul Islam has achieved remarkable success in curbing crime and conducting large-scale anti-drug operations. Notably, he had also been selected as the best OC of the district in August.
Speaking after receiving the award, OC Zahedul Islam credited the achievement to the collective efforts of all members of Satkania Police Station. “This honor belongs to every police officer here. We are committed to maintaining law and order and fighting crime, and we will continue this mission in the future,” he said.
The ceremony was attended by Superintendent of Police Saiful Islam Santu along with other senior officials of Chattogram district police
