Shamsul Alam ,Thakurgaon- The final game of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Inter-College Football Tournament was held in Thakurgaon with grand arrangements. On Sunday afternoon, the prize distribution ceremony was organized after the final game in the Government Boys High School big field. Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime and Apps) Md. Asaduzzaman presided over the prize distribution ceremony after the final game of the tournament jointly organized by District Administration and District Sports Office and with the cooperation of District Sports Association.
Sports Officer Gautam Kumar Sarkar, Thakurgaon Press Club President Mansoor Ali, District Jubo League Vice President Abdus Shahid Babu, DFA General Secretary ATM Monirul Huda Helal and others. At this time, various officials of the sports organization, teachers and players of the participating colleges were present. In the final game, “Shibganj Degree College” team defeated “Baliadangi Samir Uddin Smriti College” team by 2-0 and became champions. Khairul Bashar served as the game director. Assistant director was Md. Asaduzzaman Shamim, Md. Rizon Farabi. Senior referee Md. Altafur Alim was in charge of official.
At the end, the guests gave prize money and trophies to both the teams. Renowned commentator Sujan Khan narrates the series. It should be noted that the tournament was inaugurated with 10 teams at the same venue last Friday.
