Commodity price control models have been developed. It is now under process in the ministry for government approval. Member of Mongla Port Kazi Abed Hossain (Joint Secretary) gave this model. He is the inventor of Nilachal, a tourist spot in Bandarban in 2003. He is reproductive At the time, he created a model of non-fishing and implemented this model in 02 upazilas for 5 years and won the national gold medal in 2009. This model has been established and running across the country since 2011.
The commodity price control model will not cost the government money; No additional manpower required. Immediate implementation possible. outline Briefly as follows:
There will be 2 committees
1) Abu-Sayed Committee: The concerned officials and the president and secretary of each haat of the upazila will be members;
2) Impressed Committee: Upazila Administration and Law Enforcement Forces.
Implementation method:
a) list of daily necessities;
b) Officers/employees will be given routine duties. They will collect the basic price from the village market;
c) “Abu-Sayed Committee” will determine the upazila price based on the average price of each product; The president of the upazila market is the secretary
Sellers will be reassured that prices will be determined in attendance;
d) The price list will be displayed 24 hours on the sign board at the visible place of the upazila market;
e) The seller must sell his goods in the market by looking at the government price on the signboard. For example – tomato from 17 taka to 21 taka;
f) Members of the “Mugha Committee” in civil dress will observe the markets separately. Mobile court in case of violation.
Product price will be controlled in 485 or all upazilas
District and Division
a) The district and or divisional city shall be divided into several zones;
b) Send the UNO official price list to the Deputy Commissioner by e-mail;
c) The Abu-Sayed Committee on the average price shall determine the price of the district or divisional town in the presence of the market president secretaries;
D) Upazila implementation system will be controlled in the district.
Product price will be regulated in 64 districts and divisional cities
Dhaka and Chittagong
a) Markets will be divided into many regions;
b) The average price shall be on the district price of the country;
c) “Abu-Sayed Committee” will determine the price in consideration of transportation and profit in the presence of market president-secretaries;
d) There will be coordination between City Corporation and District Administration if necessary.
Product prices will be controlled across the country
There will also be
1) Goods of daily use from North-South-East-West will arrive in Dhaka by 2:30 pm. 6 am to avoid traffic jam Goods will go to all markets by truck. No fare shall be paid for carriage of goods;
2) No toll shall be paid on trucks of perishable goods;
3) Allowance in fish, chicken food manufacturing factories.
Market regulation of warehoused, imported and other products following this model will be made later if approved by the government.
