Haladhar Das- A person named Hasina Begum (45) died in a head-on collision between a CNG-driven auto-rickshaw and Nachiman at Raipura in Narsingdi. 7 people including two children were injured. The injured were rescued and taken to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital. The accident took place on Thursday (September 5) afternoon in Hasanabad Purbapara area of Narsingdi-Raipura regional road.
According to the police and eyewitnesses, a high-speed CNG-powered auto-rickshaw with passengers from Narsingdi reached the Hasnabad Purbapara area when it collided head-on with another high-speed autorickshaw coming from the opposite direction. The CNG-powered autorickshaw overturned. The passengers in the CNG were seriously injured. Later, with the help of locals, they were rescued and taken to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared one of them dead.
Among the injured, 4 including the CNG driver have been sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in critical condition. The rest of the injured are undergoing treatment at Narsingdi Sadar Hospital.
Dr. Narsingdi Sadar Hospital emergency department doctor. Bipasha Masud said that 8 people including one dead woman were brought to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital in a road accident. Four of them were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital with serious injuries. The rest of the injured are being treated at Sadar Hospital.
