Tender process is ongoing. If they sell sand before this, it will be illegal. However, if I receive a written complaint, action will be taken against them. It is noted that Mymensingh is excavating the old Brahmaputra river and excavating sand with dredgers to restore its navigability. That sand is piled up on both banks of the river. From there, the sand traders are embezzling illegally by selling sand worth crores of TK’’s without depositing it in the government treasury.
