Md. Sanaullah Riyad, Barguna – Bangladesh is an agricultural country. The largest sector of employment in this country is agriculture. However, going beyond professionalism, now public and private employees are also concentrating on agriculture. Roof garden is done in the yard or roof of the house. Starting from flowers, vegetables and fruits are cultivated. From where you can easily meet the needs of your family. However, most of the people do this farming mainly as a hobby. Amateur farmers also got a lot of response. Even after the demanding work of the whole day, labor is spent on farming. Some are also benefiting financially.
Barguna district located in the southern part of this agricultural country is not behind in agriculture. In arable land, seasonal agricultural work is carried out every month. Gazi Md. Zakaria and Mosa Mahinur Akhtar couple have continued in the same way. The couple cultivates dragon crops in the roof garden and seasonal vegetables in the arable land next to the house.
Ghazi Md. Zakaria is working as the area manager of the NGO Sanghar, a private development company established in Barguna and is working as a senior instructor at the Barguna Nursing Institute, wife of Mosa Mahinur Akhter. Although Zakaria could not give such a time due to running at the field level, the wife Mahinur Akhter felt comfortable staying in the role of a farmer at the end of the busiest day of teaching. He has worked as a result of hard work, cultivating various vegetables and vegetables on the roof of the government residence and on the empty side.
Ghazi Md. Zakaria said, “I have to spend my leisure time in different places. Nevertheless, I give time to the wife’s agriculture during the closed days. ”He added,“ We hope to provide vegetables by utilizing the cultivated lands and making them dependent on agriculture as much as possible.
”Mossa Mahinur Akhter said,“ Bangladesh is an agricultural dependent country. The country that is intimately involved with agricultural work. Not only the official work, but also the busy time to cultivate various fruits and essential vegetables. As the cost is reduced, the demand for vegetables is somewhat of the family. Moreover, when thinking about nutrition, the importance of fruits and vegetables must be emphasized. So I think I should come forward in agricultural production from anywhere. ‘
