Md Hasanur Rahman Tanzir – Anika got an opportunity to learn about the problems of different countries by participating in this huge conference. He wants to work with the use of advanced technology and community development to solve various problems of the country.

There is no difference between sitting at the desk and taking news of the cop and touching the moon in the sky. But suddenly I remembered about Anika Tabassum. He is currently in Baku, Azerbaijan. Is it very difficult to catch him in the world of so many apps? The answer was received from him as soon as he tried. We also spoke quickly with Anika.

Anika works with underprivileged children. However, he is working on climate and environment as a volunteer. On that occasion, Anika participated in this year’s COP conference from the organization called Work for Better Society. I wanted to know from him about his experience in COP. Especially in this year’s cop, women are being discussed or not.

COP is the largest international conference on climate change and global warming. This year the conference is being held in Baku, Azerbaijan.

How are you looking-

Every day there are various discussions in Baku about how seriously the developed countries of the world are looking at the issue of climate change and how concerned they are about its effects and damages. Apart from the discussion, what steps the international community has taken and can take to remedy this, the conference is also discussed, said Anika. Citing an example, he said, ‘People in Africa are suffering due to excess temperature. Again we are suffering from massive damage caused by floods due to climate change. Our riverside people are losing their habitat, losing their wealth. Against such a situation, how developed countries are working to improve the climate of their countries, how to protect their countries from the possible damage of climate change, it is known in this conference.

Anika said that she got special ideas in various seminars on the use of advanced technology in this regard. He said that since he stayed in Bangladesh, he tried to participate in various seminars keeping in mind the problems related to the country. So that you can work back home with experience about the solutions.

Climate and women-

Anika said that the life of women is greatly affected due to the climate, this issue is getting a lot of importance in this discussion. Many seminars on women are being held in the organization, where women are the leaders. Women’s rights and climate impacts are prominently discussed in the seminars. Anika said, ‘In this event, I see that women are ahead in terms of leadership and the use of technology. Empowering women’s voices and initiatives for more effective global climate action is being discussed seriously.’

Topic of discussion-

In this large-scale global conference, there is a lot of discussion about the progress and empowerment of women, including the multifaceted aspects of climate change. Apart from this, Anika informed about discussions on Green World, Climate Change, Adaptation, Manpower, National and International Commitments in Capacity Building, Global Issues and Solutions, Role of Women in Climate Change, Green or Renewable Energy and Inclusion in National Grid and Planning and Progress of Climate Finance etc. . He said that the challenges of advancing the Net Zero target and economic support for the transition of high carbon emission sectors have also come up in discussions at various forums. In particular, emphasis has been placed on setting the target of net zero carbon emissions by 2030 instead of 2050.

Anika’s dream-

Anika got an opportunity to learn about the problems of different countries by participating in this huge conference. He thinks that these data will help in the research work in the future. He said that he has met several experts there, whom he can call upon to work on the country’s problems in the future. Anika wants to work with the use of advanced technology and community development to solve various problems of the country. He said, ‘My organization Work for Better Society will work in the coming days with the spirit of this conference.’
The country will move forward with the hands of the youth. Anika will play an important role in that journey—that’s what we believe.
