Three students from Lalmonirhat secured second place in the World Championship on Climate Action (Global Conference on Climate Change)-2024 competition held in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, and Pokhara.
They are Nafisa Hossain Neelima, Nuran Ahnaf Brinta, and Mahbub Rahman Rizon, students of Class 10 of Lalmonirhat Cantonment Public School and College.
They went to Kathmandu from Bangladesh on December 26 to participate in the competition (secondary group). The competition was held at Swastisree Gurukul IB School in Kathmandu on the morning of December 27. There, 22 wall magazines were displayed in the wall magazine competition in the secondary group. Later, in the wall magazine competition of the same group in Pokhara, Nepal, they also secured second place there. In addition, Nafisa Hossain Neelima secured third place in the secondary category in the art competition.
In the competition, the team of Nuran Ahnaf, Mahbub Rahman and Nafisa Hossain Nilima prepared and displayed a colorful mural of a certain size. The prepared mural reflected the greenhouse effect. The people of this district said that the three students will be the pride of Lalmonirhat residents and Bangladesh as well as an inspiration for other students.
