Lalmonirhat- A human chain was organized by the Jatiyatabadi Mahila Dal Lalmonirhat district branch to protest the rape of third-grade student Asia in Magura and demand the hanging of the rapists.
The human chain was held at Mission More in Lalmonirhat city at 3 pm on Wednesday.
The human chain was presided over by Advocate Jinnat Ferdous Ara Rozi, President of Jatiyatabadi Mahila Dal Lalmonirhat District Branch, and addressed the gathering. Jatiyatabadi Mahila Dal Lalmonirhat District Branch General Secretary Advocate Anjuman Ara Shapla, Senior Vice President Shamsi Rahman Nupur, Joint General Secretary Suravi Anis, Member Secretary of Sadar Mahila Dal Neelima Roy, among others, were present.
The speakers in the hour-long human chain said that the number of rapes has increased across the country due to the lack of justice for rapists. Due to which, from children to old women are being raped. Along with the demand to ensure the safety of everyone, including women and children, the maximum punishment for the culprits was demanded as soon as possible
