Lalmonirhat- On the occasion of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr, Burimari Land Port in Patgram, Lalmonirhat will remain closed for 9 days, including the weekend. However, passport and visa operations will continue through the land port. The decision was taken after discussion by the traders of the Burimari C&F Agent Association.
On Thursday (March 20) afternoon, Burimari Land Port Assistant Director (Traffic) Mohammad Mehedi Hasan confirmed receiving the letter to close the land port.
In a letter signed by ASM Niaz Nahid, General Secretary of the Burimari Land Port C&F Agent Association, it was said that on the occasion of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr, the Burimari C&F Agent Association has decided that import and export operations will be closed from Saturday, March 29 to Saturday, April 5. The port’s operations will continue as usual from Sunday, April 6.
Burimari Land Port Police Immigration Post (Immigration) Officer-in-Charge Ashraful Islam said that although import and export are closed, the movement of passport-holding passengers will continue.
Burimari Land Port Revenue Officer Rahat Hossain said that import and export will be closed for 9 days at Burimari Land Port on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, including the weekly holiday. Although import and export activities are closed, the movement of passport and visa-holding passengers will continue.
