Kristen Stewart’s new ’80s-set vampire thriller gets another exciting cast update

The star is returning to her vampire roots.

Kristen Stewart‘s upcoming vampire thriller Flesh Of The Gods has landed another exciting cast member.

It was announced last year that Stewart and Oscar Isaac will star in the movie as married couple Alex and Raoul, who live in ’80s LA and “descend each evening from their luxury skyscraper condo and head into an electric nighttime realm”.

According to Deadline, Marvel star Elizabeth Olsen has now joined the cast as the “mysterious and enigmatic” Nameless.

When Alex and Raoul cross paths with Nameless and her hard-partying cabal, they are “seduced into a glamorous, surrealistic world of hedonism, thrills and violence”.

Flesh of the Gods is being directed by Panos Cosmatos, known for 2018 horror Mandy, and written by Se7en’s Andrew Kevin Walker.

Oscar winner Adam McKay will serve as a producer, alongside Betsy Koch, Gena Konstantinakos and director Isaac.

On the film’s announcement last year, McKay said: “This director, this writer, these incredible actors, vampires, choice 80’s punk, style and attitude for miles… that’s the film we’re bringing you today. We think it’s wildly commercial and wildly artful.

“Our ambitions are to make a movie that ripples through popular culture, fashion, music, and film. Can you tell how excited I am?”

Cosmatos added: “Like Los Angeles itself Flesh of the Gods inhabits the liminal realm between fantasy and nightmare. Both propulsive and hypnotic, Flesh will take you on a hot rod joy ride deep into the glittering heart of hell.”
