Today, Thursday (May 29), at 12:30 pm, speakers made these remarks at a nutrition meeting organized by the District Nutrition Coordination Committee and in collaboration with the Transforming Lives Through Nutrition Project in the conference room of the Sunamganj Deputy Commissioner.
The meeting, moderated by Sunamganj Deputy Commissioner Dr. Mohammad Ilias Mia and Civil Surgeon Dr. Jasim Uddin, was addressed by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development and Human Resources) Tapas Shil, Deputy Director of Sunamganj Information Office Sheikh Walid Fayez, Deputy Director of the Women’s Affairs Department Rezaul Alam, District General Secretary of Consumer Association of Bangladesh (CAB) Mohammad Shahjahan Chowdhury
At the meeting, various information on nutrition in Sunamganj district was presented by the Medical Officer of the Civil Surgeon’s Office, Dr. Rajesh Sinha Mithun.
It was informed at the meeting that the number of malnourished people in Sylhet division is higher in the country and the number of malnourished people in Sunamganj district is higher in Sylhet division.
