Advocacy of students to achieve rights in Sunamganj

Sunamganj : :   An advocacy meeting was held in Sunamganj with the slogan “My voice, my rights” to achieve the rights of students.
The closing ceremony of the advocacy meeting was held at 2:30 pm on Monday at the premises of Jarirun Noor High School in Sadar Upazila of Sunamganj Sadar Upazila under the auspices of Efforts for Rural Advancement (ERA)’s Y Moves project and Youth for Change and in collaboration with Plan International Bangladesh and Cedar.
The program was chaired by Sadar Upazila Social Service Officer Abur Hasan and moderated by Youth for Change Program Officer Tahira Sultana, and speakers included Sadar Upazila Academic Supervisor Ariful Islam, Jarirun Noor High School Headmaster Md. Ruhul Amin, teacher Delwar Hossain, social worker Abdul Wahab, among others.
Youth for Change General Secretary Zahir Raihan delivered the welcome speech at the event.
Earlier, at 10:30 am, a game session was held on the school premises with the participation of two hundred students on how to peacefully and properly achieve their demands. For example, where to contact to stop child marriage. Where to contact in case of lightning and natural disasters and where or which office to contact if there is a need to build a shelter center in your area. 2 hundred students were trained in 40 groups on these topics. Later, the students disseminated the knowledge they had trained on these topics through drama.
