On Friday (July 4th), a month -long tree planting program was inaugurated at the Tetulia DB High School grounds in the Tetulia Union BNP of Manda upazila of Naogaon.
Union BNP president Huda Rezajanabi presided over the inaugural ceremony at the chief guestA. Matin said,
“If we want to build a Bangladesh of the dream of Shaheed Zia, then we should have a responsibility not only in the field of politics – a tree means a future life. It is not just a sapling – it is a living source, the guarantee of pure air and the protection of biodiversity.”
Manda Upazila BNP senior joint convener AKM Nazmul Haque Nazu, committee member Advocate Kumar Biswajit Sarkar, BNP leader Belal Hossain Khan, Joint convener of Naogaon District Chhatra Dal Shahidul Islam Sohag, MdThe convener Imdadul Haque Sultan, Tentulia Union BNP general secretary Abdur Jabbar Mollah and organizing secretary Md. Golam Kibria Jewel, Tentulia Union Chhatra Dal president Abdul Hannan.
The speakers said that the BNP is not only an election -oriented political party – it is responsible for the rights of the people as well as protecting the natural balance. In addition to the organizational work of the party, the BNP is playing an important role in protecting the environment.
At the end of the ceremony, forests, fruits and medicinal plants were planted in different areas of the union. At the same time, the saplings are distributed among the common people, so that they are encouraged to plant saplings in the courtyard of the house or in the fallow land.
The organizers said the program is not a day – every ward, educational institutions, religious temples and roads of the union will be planted in the month of July. Local youth and students will actively participate in this initiative
