A tree plantation program was organized in Bagha Upazila of Rajshahi by Polimati, a non-political, social, and cultural organization, with the aim of raising public awareness and protecting environmental balance through tree planting.
The program was inaugurated at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 21, 2025, at the Sharifabad College grounds in Bagha Upazila, Rajshahi.
Shammi Akter, the Executive Officer of Bagha Upazila, attended the event as the chief guest. Special guests included Alif Mahmud, Advisor of Polimati; Ajir Uddin George, Acting Principal of Sharifabad College; and Uzzal Ali, President of Polimati, among others.
Polimati members Rishita, Saif, Mahim, Faria, Suraiya, Kohinur, Mridula, Shraddha, Rafa, Shoa, Madhurya, Shanto, Nahid, Rimon, and Nahid Hossain were also present.
In addition to the tree plantation ceremony, various saplings including mahogany, guava, neem, pomegranate, hog plum, jackfruit, and lemon were distributed among 200 teachers, students, and staff members of Sharifabad College.
