Syed Mohammad Kamrul Islam::  Distinguished British-Bangladeshi lawyer Barrister Monwar Hossain has been awarded the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award in Law and Human Rights at the 15th World Leaders Summit International Conference held at Keble College, University of Oxford. The award was presented to him at the conference and award ceremony held yesterday.

Representatives from various Diplomats, professionals and charitable organizations from more than 30 countries around the world participated in this international conference and award ceremony. The award – a crest, medal and certificate – was presented to Barrister Manwar Hossain by former British MP Virendra Sharma, who served for 18 years, and Ms. Ruby Grenzar, a well-known figure in Oxford’s educated and student community.

At the event, several renowned and successful professionals from different countries around the world received awards in various categories in recognition of their exceptional contributions to humanity.

The 15th World Leaders Summit International Conference, themed “Empowering Visionaries, Transforming Tomorrow,” discussed several important topics including: freedom through creativity, how art and culture shape the future of identity, independence and heritage, building culture and the future through tradition and humanity, and transforming education through empathy and inclusion.

At this conference, Peter Justin (USA), Daljit Bakshi (Australia), Professor Adina Tulbure (UK), Dr. Alan Larosa (USA), Carla Ruzziero (Italy), Professor Dr. Billy Tang Chi Sen (Malaysia), Meghalatha Nagaraj (India), Prabath Ranawna (UAE), Alessio Filippelli (Italy) and Golam Kibria (Singapore), among others, received awards in recognition of their contributions to their respective professions and humanity.

It is worth noting that Monwar Hossain is a respected practicing barrister in England who has been providing legal assistance to a large number of expatriate individuals and families residing in the UK for many years. Alongside his legal career, he has been actively working on human rights issues since 1994. He has also played a significant role in the development of Chittagong, Bangladesh’s commercial capital, for many years. His contributions have been internationally recognized. Business America Magazine recently listed him among 100 influential non-resident Bangladeshis (NRBs), and he has previously received several other prestigious awards including the Who’s Who Bangladesh Award and the Professional Service Excellence Award in Dubai.

He is an expert in UK civil, immigration, human rights, judicial review, appeal and family law, and has handled countless cases in courts at various levels including the higher courts. He is particularly renowned for his extensive success in UK immigration, human rights, asylum and citizenship law. Through his legal assistance, thousands of expatriates who have gained permanent residency in the UK have been sending substantial remittances to their home country, contributing to its economy.
