Syed Mohammad Kamrul Islam:: Former Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Chattogram Metropolitan unit, Muhammad Shahjahan Chowdhury has submitted his nomination papers to contest the upcoming National Parliamentary Election from the Chattogram-15 constituency.
He submitted the nomination papers on Sunday (December 28) at around 3:00 PM at the office of the Chattogram District Election Officer located at the Court Building. Senior leaders of the party were present with him at the time.
Speaking to the media, Shahjahan Chowdhury said, “I have submitted my nomination papers. There will be an election, and it will be a people’s referendum. We will participate in the election, and through the people’s mandate, the July Charter will be implemented.”
Meanwhile, leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami are continuing their campaign in the Chattogram-15 constituency. Shahjahan Chowdhury is contesting from the Chattogram-15 seat, which covers the Satkania and Lohagara areas. The party’s election symbol is the Scales.
On the other hand, Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has nominated Nazmul Mostafa Amin as its candidate for the Chattogram-15 constituency.
