Md. Tariqul Islam, Panchagarh Correspondent – Human papilloma virus (HPV) vaccination campaign coordination meeting was held in Tetulia upazila of Panchagarh to prevent cervical cancer.
Upazila Executive Officer and President Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) Vaccination Campaign in the Upazila Health Complex Hall room on Tuesday (October 22) at noon. This coordination meeting was held under the chairmanship of Fazle Rabbi.
At this time, the upazila health and family planning officer Dr. ASM Ruhul Amin, Upazila Resident Medical Officer (Acting) Dr. Md. Rajinul Haque, Upzera Livestock Officer Dr. Md. Yunus Ali, Upazila Education Officer. Mostafizur Rahman, Junior Consultant (gynecology) Dr. Afifa Jinnat Afi, upazila secondary education officer. Shaukat Ali, trainer of Upazila Women’s Affairs Office. Shahjahan Ali, Tentulia Model Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Manik Chandra Roy, Upazila Islami Foundation Assistant Field Supervisor Abu Taher Ansari, Journalist Md. Abdul Baset, journalist. Jabedur Rahman, journalist. SK Doyel and journalist Tariqul Islam etc was present at the meeting.
Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. ASM Ruhul Amin said, according to the HPV campaign registration, 7 thousand 829 girls will be given this vaccination in the upazila. A total of 18 days vaccination program will be conducted to prevent cervical cancer in the upazila like nationwide. For the first 10 days, the program will run in educational institutions and EPI permanent centers. 5th-9th class girls in educational institutions will be vaccinated. If someone is unable to get vaccinated at the educational institution, they can get vaccinated at the permanent center. Apart from this, girls aged 10 to 14 years old outside educational institutions can also receive vaccination in permanent centers. This program will run in all educational institutions including 168 permanent immunization centers.
