Lalmonirhat :: Keeping in mind the theme of “Let’s avoid drugs and change the country and change the world”, a rally and discussion meeting, award distribution and cultural program were celebrated in Lalmonirhat on the occasion of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
The district administration and the District Narcotics Control Department office organized this program at the Zilla Parishad auditorium on Thursday (June 26) morning.
On the occasion of the day, a colorful rally started from the office of the Deputy Commissioner at 10 am and after parading various roads, a discussion meeting and award distribution program were organized at the Zilla Parishad auditorium.
The program was presided over by Deputy Director (Rangpur) of the Narcotics Control Department Dilara Rahman, with Deputy Commissioner Magistrate H. M. Rakib Haider as the chief guest, and Superintendent of Police Md. Tariqul Islam and Border Guard Bangladesh (15 BGB) Commander Lieutenant Colonel Mehedi Imam.
After the discussion on the occasion of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, prizes were distributed among the winners of the drawing competition held with students studying in schools and colleges.
