Akkelpur :: Not only the pages of the book, but this time the students of Akkelpur are also winners on the award stage. 35 meritorious students have received honors, certificates and financial grants under the Performance Based Grants for Secondary Institutions (PGBSI) scheme of the SESDP project being implemented by the Directorate of Secondary Education. The program was organized by the District and Upazila Secondary Education Office at 11 am on Monday (July 21) at the conference room of Akkelpur Pilot Girls High School.
In the program, 35 meritorious students from 13 institutions of this upazila were given crests, certificates and financial awards under the scheme. The students expressed their excitement after being awarded.
The program was presided over by District Education Officer Md. Ruhul Amin and Upazila Nirbahi Officer Manjurul Alam was present as the chief guest. Upazila Secondary Education Officer Md. Jabed Iqbal Hasan spoke as a special guest. Upazila Academic Supervisor Mir Mohammad Ali moderated the program. Heads of various educational institutions, presidents of the managing committee and governing body, guardians of meritorious students and meritorious students were present at the time.
S.S. Saima Al Amanna, meritorious student of Jamalganj Girls High School, expressed her excitement and said, such an arrangement is indeed a source of pride for us. It will inspire us to move forward in the future. It will give us the courage to be more focused on education.
The chief guest said at the program, this award will create more enthusiasm and enthusiasm among the students as well as increase the sense of responsibility towards the teachers. District Education Officer Md. Ruhul Amin said, the main objective of the Performance Based Grants program is to create interest among students in pursuing quality education and to provide financial assistance for the development of educational institutions. Those who received the award today are a symbol of pride not only for themselves but also for the entire school. May this award be a guide for their future path. Teachers should be more responsible so that more students can come under this recognition in the future.
