Lalmonirhat :: The BSF pushed two Bangladeshis through the Patgram border in the district at midnight. They were pushed through pillar number 845 of the border at 3:30 am on Sunday (August 17). Later, BGB members patrolling the 61 Teesta Battalion arrested them from an area called Pradhanpara.
The detainees are Md. Ranu Molla (60), son of the late Hakim Molla of Narail, and Md. Abu Siddique (50), son of Md. Chabir Uddin of Sunamganj. Earlier, on Wednesday , the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) pushed in nine people, including two children and three women, through the Burimari border in Patgram upazila.
The BGB said they were brought into Bangladesh from the BSF’s 98th Battalion Bari Camp. Their identities are being confirmed and they are being handed over to their families through proper legal procedures.
Patgram Police Station OC Mizanur Rahman said that the BSF threw them into Bangladesh from the Patgram border camp. They are at the police station. They will be handed over to their families after completing the legal process to confirm their identities.
