Shibchar (Madaripur):: A financial literacy program was held in Shibchar upazila of Madaripur under the initiative of Bangladesh Krishi Bank, marking the occasion of “Youth Festival 2025.”
The event took place on Tuesday (October 14) at the seminar hall of Munshi Kadirpur High School.
Presided over by Md. Ashadul Islam, Manager of Bangladesh Krishi Bank, Shibchar Branch, the seminar was attended by Mohammad Moinul Islam, General Manager of the Faridpur Divisional Office of Bangladesh Krishi Bank, as the chief guest.
Special guests included Kazi Mohammad Nazre Moin, Chief Regional Manager of Krishi Bank, Madaripur; Md. Alauddin Mia, Head Teacher of the host institution; and Md. Abdul Jabbar Mia, Senior Assistant Teacher.
During the program, emphasis was placed on ensuring transparency and accountability in loan distribution, as well as establishing direct communication with farmers, businessmen, entrepreneurs, and borrowers through open loan disbursement initiatives. Such open distribution activities aim to raise public awareness and provide clear understanding about the process among all sections of society.
Attendees from various professions and loan recipients participated in the discussion, expressing their opinions on how to make loans more easily accessible with low interest rates and simple terms.
