Riazur Rahman Patuakhali :: On the occasion of the 47th founding anniversary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Jubo Dal, for the first time, about two thousand leaders and activists, led by former Patuakhali District Jubo Dal Vice-President Nurul Amin Liton Gazi, delivered a congratulatory speech at the founding anniversary and rally program.
On behalf of the district city Jubo Dal, he greeted and congratulated every sacrificed, struggling, and idealistic leader and activist of the country and said, Jubo Dal is not just a political organization, it is a symbol of the movement to achieve the just rights of the country’s young generation. Inspired by the ideals of martyr President Ziaur Rahman, Jubo Dal was established with a commitment to protect the nation’s independence, sovereignty, and democracy. Today, that organization is one of the leading forces in the democratic movement of Bangladesh.
District BNP General Secretary Mojibur Rahman Toton, who was present as the chief guest, said, Bangladesh is going through a difficult time today. Democracy, the right to vote, freedom of speech and the rule of law are under threat today. In this critical time, the responsibility of the Jubo Dal has increased even more. We have to unite every youth of the country on the path of truth and justice, and build strong resistance against all kinds of evil forces and injustice. He further said, the main purpose of establishing the Jubo Dal was to play a role in the development of the nation and the protection of democratic values by organizing the youth of the country. Today, we are working with new enthusiasm to fulfill that goal. Jubo Dal workers in every district, upazila and ward of the country are relentlessly by the side of the people. As they show courage in the movement, they are also playing a leading role in humanitarian work.
The former vice-president further said, our uncompromising national leader Begum Khaleda Zia is free from captivity today. The leader of the people, BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, is fighting relentlessly for the country’s independence and democracy even from abroad. Under his leadership, we are working to end the dictatorial rule and re-establish true democracy in the country.
Urging all the leaders and activists of the city Jubo Dal to become more organized, disciplined and ideologically stronger, he said, Jubo Dal will be a force of truth and justice. We will be at the forefront of protest against every injustice in the country. Every leader and activist of the organization must convey the ideals of BNP and Jubo Dal to the hearts of the new generation by earning the love of the people.
On this anniversary of the Jubo Dal, I call on all the youth and the youth society – let us unite, stand in the forefront of the movement to protect democracy. Let us commit to building a prosperous Bangladesh through a free, democratic and fair vote under the leadership of Shaheed Zia’s ideals, uncompromising national leaders Khaleda Zia and Tarique Rahman.
