Golam Mowla Shibchar (Madaripur):: The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) organized a mass rally in Shibchar, Madaripur on Saturday (November 1) to promote its 31-point state reform agenda among the general public. The event, held at the Pachchar Golchattar Bus Stand area, turned into a festive gathering as thousands of BNP leaders, activists, and supporters joined from different parts of the upazila.
By the afternoon, processions led by local BNP units and affiliated organizations marched toward the rally venue chanting slogans in support of the reform plan. The entire marketplace became vibrant and crowded with enthusiastic participants.
Addressing the rally as the chief guest, Sajjad Hossain Siddiqui Lablu, BNP’s nominated candidate for Madaripur-1 (Shibchar) in the 2018 national election, said,
Establishing democracy and protecting people’s fundamental rights will remain impossible without comprehensive state reform. The BNP’s 31-point reform agenda is a blueprint to restore state ownership to the people.”
He further added that the BNP would continue its movement to build a just and participatory state ensuring people’s rights and representation.
Nadira Mithu Chowdhury, district BNP member and joint convener of Shibchar Upazila BNP, attended the event as special guest.
