Bablu Ranjan Biswas, Kushtia :: A student rally was held in Mirpur, Kushtia, on the occasion of the 13th National Parliament election, to promote the paddy sheaf and to implement the 31st implementation of the state structure repair announced by Tarique Rahman. At the beginning of the student rally, special prayers were offered for the recovery of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.
The rally was held on Saturday afternoon at the Mirpur Pilot High School ground under the joint initiative of Upazila and Municipal Chhatra Dal. Speaking as the chief guest at the student rally, chaired by Municipal Chhatra Dal convener Rokonuzzaman Rintu, BNP’s national executive committee member and BNP-nominated MP candidate for Kushtia-2 (Mirpur-Bheramara) constituency, Barrister Ragib Rouf Chowdhury said that Begum Khaleda Zia has worked for the welfare of the people of the country by sacrificing her own interests. He did not compromise with the fascist government even when the harassment reached its peak. There is no alternative to elections to restore the country’s democracy.
He said that the people of this country are election-oriented, democracy-oriented and they are eager to exercise their voting rights in the elections. The student community played a leading role in the movement to achieve all democratic rights including the country’s independence.
The main speaker of the program was the member secretary of the district Chhatra Dal, Khandaker Taslim Uddin Nishat. The special guest was the member secretary of Bheramara Upazila BNP, Shajahan Ali.
