M Rezaul Islam, Naogaon:: Rajshahi Agricultural Development Bank (Rakub) has received a huge response to the four-day special loan recovery camp in Naogaon zone. In this camp organized
from December 1 to December 4, 30 total loans of 20 crore rupees were collected.
Out of this, about 3 crore 70 lakhs of defaulted loans have been recovered, which is being considered as a big success by the concerned officials.
Rakub Naogaon Zone DGM Ruhul Amin inaugurated the camp. During the inauguration, he said that such camps will be organized regularly to reduce defaulted loans and make banking services easier for customers. At the same time, he emphasized on making banking activities more dynamic by maintaining trust and faith in customers.
A large presence of borrowers can be seen in this camp held simultaneously in total 30 branches of Naogaon district. During the camp, many customers paid off their outstanding loans and expressed interest in taking fresh loans. Customers from various sectors including agriculture, small business, animal husbandry expressed satisfaction with the bank’s services.
Naogaon Branch Manager Shahen Alam and other branch managers said that due to incentives in repayment of loans, easy process and sincere efforts of the officers, spontaneous positive attitude has been created among the customers. As a result, it has been possible to collect more debt in less time. Many customers said that they were able to repay the loan easily because the bank officials provided them with various guidance and support.
Rakab authorities feel that such camps will play an important role in reducing defaulted loans in the future. Besides, bank’s relationship with customers will be stronger.
The concerned officials of Naogaon zone said that we have plans to take such positive customer-friendly initiatives in the coming days as well.
