Golam Mowla, Shibchar, Madaripur::
An Iftar and prayer mahfil was held in Shibchar upazila of Madaripur under the initiative of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Bangladesh Shibchar Upazila branch.
The event took place on Sunday afternoon at Utsab Chinese Restaurant in Shibchar Upazila Sadar. Religious scholars, political leaders and local dignitaries attended the program.
The chief guest of the program was Abdullah Mohammad Hasan, President of the Bangladesh Forayzi Andolon.
The meeting was presided over by Maulana Abu Bakar Siddique, President of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Bangladesh, Shibchar Upazila branch, while the program was conducted by its General Secretary Mufti Zubayer Ahmed.
Among others present were Maulana A.B.M. Emdadul Haque, Central Secretary General of Bangladesh Forayzi Andolon; Maulana Ziaul Haque Qasemi, Assistant Secretary General of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Bangladesh, Shibchar Upazila branch; Shahadat Hossain Khan, Convener of Bangladesh Nationalist Party Shibchar Upazila unit; Hemayet Uddin Khan, Joint Convener of the municipal BNP unit; and Mufti Rakib Ahmad Usmani, Director and Principal of Noore Madina Cadet Madrasa, along with local leaders and activists.
A special prayer was offered at the end of the program seeking peace, prosperity and welfare for the country, the nation and the Muslim Ummah.
