Farmers have suffered greatly due to Mandar’s bill! Farmers cultivated Eri Budhan everywhere including Dil Manda by giving their maximum monetary labour. Bumper yield of golden paddy is also being noticed in the field this season. Farmers are full of hope to bring home the golden harvest.
Rules left, what a cruel irony of destiny! Since the beginning of paddy harvesting and threshing, stormy winds and heavy rains have brought misery and distress to the farmers due to natural disasters.
In the meantime, the competition is going on to take home the crops earned by the farmers. The festival of paddy harvesting is going on in full swing in the Barendra region of Naogaon.
All of a sudden, the golden crop fields of farmers in Bil Manda, Bil Uttarail, Bil Heelna, Andhasuria, Singa Sibi, Sogunia, Choubaria areas of Iri Boro paddy are sinking under the water due to the water coming down from the upstream for a few days. The farmers of that area are currently in dire straits with half-ripe paddy.
Labor crisis in paddy threshers, required number of day laborers are not available even with Tk 750 to 1000 per person, as a result of which there is no vehicle to lift the waterlogged crops even if they are harvested in extreme disaster.
In the meantime, the new innovative power of farmers is made of polythene

Several farmers who are in danger in this situation, Alhaj Tofazzal Hossain, Maqbul Hossain, Abul Hossain, Ershad Ali, Abdul Aziz, Anwar Hossain, Afsar Ali, Akram Hossain, Babul Hossain, Solaiman Ali said with a heart full of pain and emotional voice that we have grown a golden crop with our maximum labor and money expenditure, now we will only grow it, but what a cruel irony of fate, the production Costs, labor costs, water-logged debt burdens, farmers’ suffering will not be eased.
The aggrieved farmers sought the cooperation of the Head of Government and the Department of Agriculture to alleviate the suffering.
