Kazi Zubayer Islam Sohan, Dumki, Patuakhali :: The University Teachers’ Association of Bangladesh (UTAB) and Zia Parishad (Officers’ Unit) of Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU) organized a reception in honor of the newly appointed Vice Chancellor of PSTU, Professor Dr. S. M. Hemayet Jahan, and the newly appointed Vice Chancellor of the University of Barishal, Professor Dr. Mohammad Mamun Or Rashid.
The reception ceremony was held at the university campus at 10:30 am on Wednesday. The event was presided over by the Convener of the Reception Celebration Committee and Registrar of the university, Professor Dr. Mohammad Atikur Rahman, while Dr. A.B.M. Saiful Islam, Adviser for Student Affairs, conducted the program.
Representatives of UTAB, Zia Parishad, Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, deans of various faculties, teachers, officers, employees, and students addressed the gathering.
At the beginning of the program, the two Vice Chancellors were welcomed with flowers and presented with honorary crests.
The speakers expressed optimism that under the leadership of the newly appointed Vice Chancellors, Patuakhali Science and Technology University and the University of Barishal would reach new heights in education, research, and good governance.
