Naogaon: Beef sale program at Tk 550 per kg has been inaugurated in Naogaon Manda government managed fair price agricultural products shop.
It was inaugurated by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Shah Alam Mia at 12 o’clock on Thursday.
This fair price shop was inaugurated in front of the T&T office in Prasadpur Bazar with the cooperation of the Upazila Livestock Department and organized by the Upazila Administration.
At that time, Upazila Livestock Officer Mohammad Nuruzzaman, Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer Dipankar Pal, officials of various departments and local media personnel were present.
A kg of beef is sold for Tk 550 in this fair price shop. A consumer is given a maximum of 1 kg and a minimum of 250 grams of meat. Butchers have to buy beef in the market for 700 rupees and more per kg. Such management is done keeping in mind the common and low income people.
In this context, UNO Shah Alam Mia said that the meat shop has been opened at a fair price under the direction of the Deputy Commissioner Sir.
This shop will be open on Thursday. In future, besides beef, beef will also be available.
