A free sesame seeds and chemical fertilizers distribution program has been inaugurated among small and marginal farmers under the Ullapara Agricultural Incentive Program in Sirajganj. Upazila Executive Officer Abu Saleh Mohammad Hasnat inaugurated the distribution program as the chief guest at the Upazila Agriculture Office premises on Tuesday (March 4) at 10 am.
Upazila Agriculture Officer Suborna Yasmin Sumi presided over the event. According to the Upazila Agriculture Extension Department, 1 kg of sesame seeds, 10 kg of DAP fertilizer, and 5 kg of MOP were distributed among a total of 100 marginal farmers for each farmer cultivating 1 bigha of land during the summer season in the 2024-2025 financial year. Additional Agriculture Officer Md. Asad Bin Khalil Rahat, farmers and deputy assistant agriculture officers were present at the time.
