Kushtia – The Jessore Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has approved the 4-member ad hoc committee of Kamirhat Secondary Girls’ School in Fulbaria Union, Mirpur Upazila, Kushtia. In this, the board has nominated young social worker Marfat Ali (Afridi), president of Mirpur Press Club and Mirpur Upazila correspondent of Dainik Manab Zamin, as the president.
Following Section 10 of the Regulations of Governing Body and Managing Committee of Private Educational Institutions at Secondary and Higher Secondary Level, 2024, the approval letter of the 4-member ad hoc committee was issued on March 23, 2025 by Jessore Board School Inspector Dr. Md. Kamruzzaman.
In addition, ex-officio head teacher Abdul Mannan Mohan has been made the secretary, Abdul Alim has been made the general teacher representative and Amirul Islam has been made the guardian member.
In his response, the newly elected president Marfat Ali (Afridi) thanked the Almighty God and said, “I am a child of this union, this is a matter of great joy for me. I have been thinking about the school for a long time. I seek your cooperation for all the developments including the infrastructure development of this school with the cooperation of everyone. I want to work with you to improve the quality of education. For this, I seek the prayers and cooperation of the school teachers, students, guardians, and dignitaries of Kamirhat village.
The newly elected president Marfat Ali (Afridi) is a proud son of Krishnapur village of Phulbaria union in the upazila. Former MP of Kushtia-2 (Mirpur-Bheramara) constituency, former president of the district BNP and member of the BNP National Executive Committee, freedom fighter Alhaj Professor Shahidul Islam, former Upazila Nirbahi Officer of Mirpur Upazila Bibi Karimunnesa, Upazila Agriculture Officer Abdullah Al Mamun, and headmaster of the neighboring Phulbaria Secondary School Shah Alam congratulated him on being elected president
