Md. Sanaullah Riyad, Barguna:: Under the “Sustainable Microenterprise and Resilient Transformation (SMART)” project implemented by Sangram in collaboration with Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) and the World Bank, a day-long “Staff Capacity Building Refreshers Training” held last Saturday (October 11) with managers, accountants and field workers of 11 branches of Sangram under the project.
The “Staff Capacity Building Refreshers Training” was inaugurated by Sangram Executive Director Chaudhuri Munir Hossain.
Sangram Director (Training) Md. Masud Sikder, Assistant Director (Loan) Md. Faisal Ahmed and Assistant Director (Program) A N M Ashraf Uddin were present as special guests at the time.
Project Manager Md. Abdullah Al Mamun delivered the welcome speech at the event.
The chief guest said in his speech – the main purpose of this project is to make the dry sector initiatives more sustainable by reducing the risks of climate change, environmental management, pollution control and adopting environmentally friendly technologies. Therefore, he instructed everyone to work together. Sangram is determined to reach the goals of the project-related people. Therefore, he instructed to select the right dry entrepreneurs through the project and take measures to distribute loans among them.
It is worth noting that the project will be running from February 20 of this year to June 2028 in Sadar, Patharghata, Taltoli of Barguna district and Kalapara and Kuakata areas of Patuakhali district.
