Neon Dulal, Lalmonirhat:: There have been allegations of forcible occupation of the 40-year-old five-storey ‘North Bengal Guest House’ located in the Mogolhat Railgate area of Lalmonirhat town. The manager of the guest house, Mukut Chandra Mohanty, has filed a written complaint with Sadar Police Station regarding the incident.
The complaint states that the establishment was forcibly locked on January 28 and that the lock was broken into late at night on February 1, destroying furniture and goods. A charge has been filed against Arman Uddin Ahmed Tulu in this incident.

The company’s original owner, ABM Sharif Uddin, died on February 12 last year, and his wife Selina Akhter is taking care of the company. The family claims that after Sharif Uddin’s death, his brother Tulu started trying to seize the entire property, even though he legally owns only 1.34 percent of the land.
Selina Akhter said that despite the case being pending in court, Tulu broke the lock and took over the establishment and is threatening it. On the other hand, Tulu denied the allegations and said that he entered for cleaning purposes.
Lalmonirhat Sadar Police Station OC Mohammad Abdul Matin said that they have received a written complaint and the police have started an investigation. Both parties have been ordered not to enter the establishment until the court verdict is issued.
