Naogaon – In Manda of Naogaon, a prayer meeting and discussion meeting was held to pray for the souls of the students who died in the anti-discrimination movement and for the recovery of the injured.
This event was organized in the yard of Sohel’s house in North Paranpur village of the upazila on Monday afternoon.
Retired head teacher Alhaj Ayez Uddin Sarkar presided over the function and former president of Upazila BNP Moklechur Rahman Moke was the chief guest.
Former upazila chairman and former general secretary of BNP spoke among others at the discussion meeting. Ikramul Bari Tipu, BNP leader Rabiul Islam Ravi and Master Delwar Hossain, Upazila Jubo Dal leader Abdul Jalil, DM Abdul Malek and Master Enamul Haque, student leader Zahid Hossain and others.
Special prayers were held for the souls of the martyrs who died in the movement, wishing for the recovery of the injured.
