Press Release:: vToday marks the 62nd birthday of the eminent poet, satirist, children’s litterateur, public speaking trainer, organizer, and publisher Shahjahan Abdali. He was born on May 25, 1964, in Darikandi village of Bancharampur upazila under Brahmanbaria district. He is the third among the five sons of Abdul Bari and Rabeya Khatun.
Over his illustrious career, Abdali has authored 72 books spanning diverse genres, including satire, rhymes, poetry, essays, novels, and the history of the Liberation.
Professionally a book publisher, Abdali also serves as the editor of the monthly magazine Dolonchapa. Notably, he is a pioneer in introducing the first-ever public speaking training center in Bangladesh.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions to children’s literature and satire, Shahjahan Abdali has been honored with numerous prestigious accolades, including the Madhusudan Academy Award, Bangladesh Cultural Foundation Gold Medal, Poet Shamsur Rahman Literary Award, Father Benjamin Costa Literary Award, and Poet Jasimuddin Literary Award.
