Md. Sanaullah Riyad, Barguna :: A discussion meeting on inclusive and accessible skills training for disabled children and youth was held with the Technical Training Center.
Organized by Sangram (sangathita Gramunnyan Karmasuchi) and in collaboration with the Center for Disability in Development (CDD) and funded by Liliana Funds, the discussion meeting was held at the hall of Barguna Technical Training Center (TTC) on Thursday (September 25) at around 10 am.
The guests present at the event were – Principal of Barguna Technical Training Center (TTC) SM Sultan Mahmud and instructors of various trades of the training center.
At the beginning of the event, the welcome speech was given by – Executive Director of Sangram Chaudhuri Munir Hossain.
Sangram Assistant Director (Program) ANM Ashraf Uddin moderated various informative documentaries about the project on meaningful and inclusive participation of children and youth with disabilities in all aspects of community-based rehabilitation – SM Ali Hasnain Fatmi, Program Manager of the Center for Disability in Development (CDD).
The project will work with a total of 900 people, including children and youth with disabilities aged 0 to 25, in Patharghata Sadar Union, Charduani, Kanthaltoli, Kalmegha, Kakchira Union and Nachnapara Union under Patharghata Upazila of Barguna district from January 1 of this year to December 31, 2029.
The main objective of this project is to ensure that children and youth with disabilities can enjoy their fundamental rights and full independence equally like other children and youth in the society.
